Woodland is tucked to the northeast of the city of Minnetonka, and residents can easily access the city’s many downtown shops, restaurants, and amenities. Woodland’s gorgeous Wayzata Bay shoreline makes it an idyllic spot for lake-based recreation.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

While Woodland is almost exclusively residential, Deephaven and Minnetonka to the south provide a wealth of shopping and dining options. Deephaven’s Cottagewood General Store first opened in 1895, and it offers a diverse selection of delicious foodstuffs from local brands such as Heggies pizzas and Sebastian Joe’s ice creams. Cottagewood also hosts events including a family-friendly July 4th celebration and regular Friday Grill Nights throughout the summer. Minnetonka’s shopping and dining options include the Ridgedale Center. This large mall is anchored by JCPenney, Macy’s, and Nordstrom department stores and features around 120 other businesses. Recognizable brands here include Apple, Banana Republic, Coach, Disney Store, GAP, H&M, Old Navy, and Sephora. You can also enjoy dinner and happy hour drinks at dining spots such as Redstone American Grill and Kona Grill. Minnetonka’s other dining choices include award-winning burger spots Ike’s and Snuffy’s Malt Shop. Wine connoisseurs will be delighted with the selection on offer at Spasso, an upscale Italian eatery with 100 bottles offered at retail price. As if this selection wasn’t enough, Spasso has a free wine corkage policy and is located right next door to The Wine Shop where you’ll find, arguably, the region’s most comprehensive wine selection.

Things to Do

Gray’s Bay Causeway Park is one of Lake Minnetonka’s prettiest lakeshore parks, and along with gorgeous scenery, Gray’s Bay is one of the lakeshore’s most popular fishing spots. Woodland is also close to public beaches in Deephaven, with the popular swimming spot of Robinson’s Bay being located just outside Woodland’s southern boundary.
